Lori Markham
Lori Markham has greater than 25 years of Midwest Transplant Network leadership experience alongside a background in Critical Care nursing. As Vice President and the Chief Clinical Officer for MTN, Markham oversees all clinical operations. Under Lori’s leadership at MTN, they have seen substantial growth in organ and tissue donation, with 2022 being a record year. With Markham’s guidance, MTN has developed one of the country’s only Critical Care Committees which ensures every organ donor at MTN is managed by a critical care physician. Markham holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master of Science in Nursing, Nurse Executive, both from Rockhurst University and Research College of Nursing. AOPO Procurement Council Chair, NATCO Board Member and United Network for Organ Sharing Membership and Professional Standards Committee and OPO Committee members are some of the industry activities she has been involved in. She will assume Vice-Chair of the UNOS OPO Committee in July. As an invited guest, Lori helped the United Kingdom analyze and develop their current strategic plan for increasing organ donation.
