We were told we would never be able to have children. After five pregnancies, we were blessed with our two boys. Wyatt was our firstborn and our miracle baby. He was truly a gift from God. I went into labor at six months and after 3 months in bed, he came on his due date. He was toe-headed with white blonde hair as a little boy. That is how I always kept sight of him at birthday parties and the park. He loved playing his guitar and hiking in the woods and any kind of animal. There were several stray cats and dogs for which we had to find homes. He couldn’t stand to see anything get hurt. He would even catch a moth and put it back outside instead of swatting it. He always had the biggest heart for others buying Christmas presents for those less fortunate, donating food to the food bank, and just giving to others in any way he could. Deciding on organ donation was really no decision at all. He would not have had it any other way. He was training to take over the family business and went into the hospital just four days before he supposed to get married. We had to transition from planning a wedding to planning a funeral almost overnight. I’m still not sure how we did that. We miss him terribly and are only comforted in knowing that our precious gift from God was able to give such a precious gift to others.
