My donor is Vanessa Filip. She unexpectedly passed Labor Day weekend, 2018. Her younger sister is my nephew's (now) wife, Sarah.
Sarah's family made the courageous decision to donate her organs when asked by The Gift of Life. Sarah requested that I receive one of her sisters kidneys. I had struggled with a rare genetic kidney disease and had been on dialysis for 6 weeks at this time. I am forever grateful and thankful and blessed.
