On 10th September 2024 I received an emergency liver transplant. I was very ill and went to number 1 on the top waiting list in the UK. According to what I was told by the co ordinators he had passed away during a head on collision car crash. He had left an amazing gift in his will. I was wheeled into theatre with him waiting for me. His selfless gift saved my life that day and I will be forever grateful. The day I was given a second chance at life, he lost his life. He also saved the life of a new born baby. I had half and part went to the baby. I am yet to write a letter to his family as I can’t put into words what his gift gave me.
