I can never express the gratitude or amount of thanks that I give to my donor and their family. I do not know my donor's name or their family, but I know that they made a selfless act to donate his organs. For me, this was life saving. I was going to die within a few days if I didn't receive a liver. As fate would have it, his liver was perfect for me. Every day I think about the choice that his family made to have to make this decision, to lose a child, brother, friend. I will never forget their sacrifice for my life. I pray that his family finds peace in knowing that he does live on through others.
