Tyler said he wanted his life to matter a lot! He would be so proud to know just how much of a hero he is to so many. While his death was the most tragic event, he was able to give life to others with his organ donations. He is living on through people who have been saved through the Gift of Life. The Gift of Life has helped his family and friends cope with grief knowing that Tyler’s legacy lives on. The love for him will never die.
Tyler was born July 7th, 2001. As a child he loved to fish, play basketball, skateboard, catch frogs, sit by the fire, swim at the lake and had a great sense of humor. If you were down and out, he was determined to make you laugh. As he got older, his love for the outdoors became more prevalent. Kayaking, camping, jumping into the water at the Ledges. He became famous for doing a front or back flip to entertain you. Tyler was a self-taught handy man. He built shelves for the house and seemed to figure out how to fix anything.
Tyler came through on some challenges. The Michigan Youth Challenge Academy helped him to get focused on life and he excelled beyond anybody’s expectations. At 20 years old, Tyler managed to secure a great job putting up fiber optic cable, buy his own truck and get his own apartment. Tyler didn’t judge anyone and would lend a helping hand for anyone in need. Tyler is missed dearly but will never be forgotten. #Forever20
