Tommy passed away at the age of 24. He was a sweet, fun-loving, young man who was devoted to his family and friends. He loved watching football, basketball and baseball. He enjoyed video games, listening to music and playing cribbage. He loved the holidays and time spent with his family. His life was short, but he was an inspiration as he persavered through life, living with some health issues that were a consequence of a childhood illness. He loved sports, but was not able to participate, due to his health issues. Even so, Tommy found a way to be involved in sports as a football manager for both his high school and college football team. He graduated from Concordia University with a degree in Sports Management, hoping to land a job with a local sports team. He never complained about his health issues, rather was always positive, cheerful and friendly to everyone. He was busy saving for his first house and hoped to marry his girlfriend of 3 years. Tommy's spread so much joy and laughter to others, his positivity was an example to everyone who knew him and those of us he left behind are committed to living by his example. Tommy donated both his heart and liver. He gave the gift of life to two people and I know he would be so proud of this! He made the choice on his driver's license to be an organ donor, and we are so thankful we didn't have to make that choice for Tommy. His life is still making an impact here on earth, both through organ donation and his gift of inspiring the lives of so many of us who loved Tommy.
