Steven had a rare hereditary, genetic disorder called HHT and had a sudden severe brain hemorrhage that was fatal. He was only 23 and in very good health despite having abnormal blood vessels diagnosed when he was 3 years old. He was feeling well and had even spoken to a specialist a week and a half before passing. My husband and I decided to pursue the donation of his organs in order to have something positive come if this horrible loss. Steven saved four people by donating and we hope to meet at least a couple of them in the near future. We know if he were here to ask, he would have wanted to help others live.
