Our nephew was an organ recipient under the age of 2 and we both made sure to sign up as organ donors, for it is truly the gift of life.
My hero, my husband, Steve, passed away suddenly in 2019. We started dating in High School at the age of 15, married for over 28 years and lived in Vermont, New Hampshire, Colorado and Maine. We were unable to have children, but we had each other and our love! The day he died was the worst day of my life, but knowing that my husband would be able to give someone another chance, a new hope in their lives was the greatest healing for my grief. It was a gift from a man who was all about sharing a smile and laugh with you, one who would be there to help when you needed it, a man filled with kindness and love. He was always my hero and will always be!
