Shirley (MeMe) was a doting grandmother and loved her family and frends tremendously. She had a giving spirit volunteering her time and giving the ultimate gift of organ donation. While her organ donation was able to help several people, it was the gift of sight that was something that touched her family.
Her eyes have seen a lot of numbers and paperwork, beautiful homes, and happy families in her line of work as a Real Estate Broker. Her eyes have seen the beach and the mountains – her favorite places to relax and get away. Her eyes have even seen the joy on her grandson’s face when she took him on a Disney cruise, to give toys to the needy, and many other adventures they had.
She had the ability to see an item at a store, estate sale, or thrift store that was just perfect for someone in the family. She saw the beauty that was possible in a blank backyard that she turned into a garden sanctuary.
She loved looking for the perfect pumpkins in the fall and decorating for Christmas. But all year round, she loved to cook for her family and take care of her dog. She cared for those around her and was loved for all she did.
While we were not expecting to let her go so soon, her legacy lives on in the lives of her family and friends who still miss her so.
