My daughter Sarah was involved in a tragic work accident in 2014. I lost her because of it. Yet when she was 16 and getting her permit and driver's license she wanted to know what it meant on the application. I sat her down and explained, leaving it to be her decision. She was 24 when the accident happened. Because of her decision she saved the lives of five others. One of the five passed away after four months of transplant. Today in 2021 I am in contact with three of those five. Her lung, kidney, pancreas and liver recipients. It is her legacy, at least it is how I try to honor her, that through her decision to help others she saved five people. I promote organ donation on a regular basis on my Facebook page. Never letting the world forget her and the HERO she became by saving those lives.
