Our son was named after Ryne Sandberg (#23) who played baseball for the Chicago Cubs. Both their nicknames were Ryno. Ry had a big, fun loving, goofy personality. He played a variety of sports, was in Scouts, Skills USA, participation in car shows/cruises, camping, hiking, longboarding, etc. He loved to make ppl laugh! He skso had a big heart! Ry would drop everything to help ppl when they asked no matter what time or what the issue was – he showed up. Ryne was involved in a traffic accident on his way to work. Organ/tissue donation was his decision & we supported it so he could keep helping people. To know he lives on through others has helped us heal.
