My son had a massive heart attack 8 years ago on 8/9/2015 . The only thing that he donated that couldnt be used by someone was the actual heart muscle . they told his dad and I he would help 100+ people with his donation and he would help for years to come with his skin and tissue alone ! I am so proud of him for making this decision on his own so we didnt have to !! Love and miss him so much ! My 17 year old grandson passed away in march of this year and had 100s of blood and platelet transfusions ! He had a bone marrow transplant from a live donor from Germany but unfortunantly passed away 4 days later from a bad bad infection no one knows how he got it ! Live donors are so important also ! GOD bless All donors deceased and live ! Cant thank you enough !!
