In all the darkness, pain, and loss, the one glimmer of light comes from your contribution as a donor. You were our hero: as a dad, a firefighter and now as a donor. In reading one of the letters from one of your recipients I could not help but feel overwhelmed with joy to know that that recipient was getting a chance to be with his family because of your gift, dad. You spent most of your life, fighting. Fighting to be loved. Fighting to be great at your job. Fighting to be the best dad. Fighting to be someone special in this world. But you left, giving. Giving something that is greater than any material gift; the gift of hope. You are missed. You are beloved. You will never be forgotten. You always wanted to be the first one in, but the last one out. Tu vida y presencia era un regalo por todos que conociste.
