My dad was the kind of man who could light up any room—always cracking jokes, always picking on you just enough to make you laugh, usually with a beer in hand living up to his nickname, Chief One More. He was our protector, our humor, our constant. He left behind two daughters and four young grandkids who will grow up hearing all about the man who loved big and lived fully. Losing him so suddenly shattered our world, but even in that heartbreak, we chose for our hero to become someone else’s—giving the ultimate gift and continuing his legacy in a way that still brings life and hope.
