My 13 year old son Peyton gained his wings and his spirit left this world. However, his body stayed behind in the form of his heart, kidneys, pancreas, lungs, liver, and corneas. He saved six lives and brought sight to two others. Although his mother and I made the decision to donate life, I have no doubt that Peyton would have gladly agreed. He was a beautiful person that cared about all others above himself. The Peyton Heart Project was established in his name and carries on his legacy of mental health awareness and suicide prevention.
