Paul’s gifts of his corneas and tissues have improved the lives of dozens of people and I could not be more proud. Losing him to hypertensive cardiovascular disease (undiagnosed) at 48, before we had been together even 13 years, is the single most painful experience of my life. Knowing that his over 125 gifts have changed the lives of so many is what keeps me going and has shown me that my calling is to help others by sharing our story and educating them about the importance of donation. I thank my hero every day.
