The day he got his license I asked Patrick if he wanted to be an organ donor. I expected it to be a long conversation of me explaining why it was important. But there was no conversation. He immediately just said “yes”. No hesitation. No long conversation. Just a very strong “yes”. From the time he was two years old he would tell us how he was going to rescue people when he got older. And he did just that. He fought until the very end and did exactly what he said he would do.
Our family and his friends are left here with a gaping hole in our lives. A hole that used to be filled with the smile, laughter, humor, and big heart of an incredible boy. Everyday is hard. He was an amazing son and big brother and we are left feeling lost. But you are brave and we are trying to be too.  We love you speedy.
