Noah was a vibrant, enthusiastic teenager that lived and breathed sports, particularly Basketball and Football.   His accidental suicide came by surprise to those of us closest to him. We realized that the isolation and change of normal activities during COVID put us all in a different mindset than usual, but didn’t think the impact could be so profound as it was on many of our kids.  Noah was a social butterfly… bonding over sports with his friends. In April 2021, Noah put himself into a situation he could not control, though I believe he thought he could.  The result was ruled as an accidental suicide.

As the recipient of a heart valve when I was 20, when we learned Noah would not be able to have a quality of life, we immediately thought of organ donation. One tragic loss while part of life, helps bring so many positives and endless possibilities to so many others, creating a ripple effect of  impact.

I dedicate each day to Noah’s memory, and to choosing to find the miracles hidden in plain sight each and every day. While I still can’t shoot a basketball, I can still hear his laugh heckling me about how can I possibly be that bad at doing something so simple… 🙂
