Nick was a light in the lives of his parents, sister, and an extensive repertoire of friends. His energy would light up the room, and if you missed his height of 6 ft 4, you certainly couldn’t escape his voice: Nick would talk to anyone and everyone, leaving behind countless stories and a legacy of love and immeasurable laughter. Everyday in Nick’s life was filled with adventure, whether it be on his boat in the hot NJ summer sun, or spending time with his friends. Nick was no stranger to Donate Life: he received a liver transplant from his sister, his living donor, at the young age of 22 after grappling with a childhood liver disease. He called his transplant day his “new birthday,” and lived everyday filled with gratitude and vigor, even in spite of challenges: he will forever be our warrior. In June 2024, Nick gained his wings and paid forward his gift through donating his heart.
