Natalie was a vibrant 3-year-old whose joyful spirit touched everyone around her. Though her time on earth was short, her impact continues to live on. Natalie was diagnosed with Mitochondrial disease, a condition that severely affected many of her organs. Despite these challenges, after her passing, she became a donor hero – giving the gift of sight and life to others by donating her eyes and heart valves.
A few months after her donation, we learned that her gifts were received by a 59-year-old and a 35-year-old. Although we do not yet know their names or locations, we are incredibly grateful that Natalie was able to help others in their time of need.
Natalie had a personality that could light up any room. She was endlessly patient and loving, especially with her older sister, who has autism. Her gentle heart and understanding nature brought comfort and joy to those closest to her. Natalie’s sweetness left a lasting impression on everyone she met, and her spirit continues to inspire. She will always be remembered not only for the love she shared during her life, but also for the lives she continues to touch through her incredible legacy of donation.
