Nancy E. Dale was born Jan. 22, 1953. She was raised in a small loving home with her widowed father in Grindstone, PA. When she was older, she had 5 children and now has 11 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Everyone absolutely loved my mother. She was a very loving woman but she was also very stern. She didn’t mind telling you exactly what she thought. She also had incredible faith. She would always pray for her family and for others. She also was a hard worker and dedicated her life to helping others. She loved people and loved being a mother. She would always tell us that we were her life purpose.

Sadly, she passed away suddenly in 2018. It completely devastated us. But we knew she wanted to continue to help others even after her death. We followed her last wishes and donated her organs. Even though it broke our hearts to lose her we knew that with her organ donation she will continue her legacy through the many people that received her donation.

A little story about my mom. When she was a child she was hit in her eye with a baseball and was legally blind for most of her life. She hated the fact she couldn’t see. It really scared her. A few years prior to her passing, she decided to have surgery to correct her eye site. And it worked. She was able to see without the use of glasses or contacts. I remember her being so excited. A few months after her passing we received a letter stating that her corneas were donated and because of our mother, a woman was able to see again. That letter touched my heart. I will forever be grateful for that letter and for my mother’s heart of gold.

Mom, we will forever miss you. Continue to watch over all of us until we meet again! We love you mom!
