My husband, Mike became an organ donor in 2017 after we suffered the tragic loss of our only child. It gave us comfort, knowing that our child chose to be an organ donor. Then, Just two years later in 2019, Mike was involved in a fatal motorcycle accident. Once again, I found myself enduring yet another tragic loss. Mike was able to give nearly all of his vital organs. My heart may be broken, but just knowing both of my angels have given the beautiful gift of life brings me tremendous comfort.
