My son, Michael, was an inspiration to many during his short 20 years of life. He was an amazing son, brother, uncle, grandson, and boyfriend. His passion was bodybuilding and he lived every day working towards his dream of being Mr. Olympia. He believed ‘failure was not an option’ and that you could achieve anything with ‘strength through discipline.’ Michael won his last bodybuilding competition and qualified for Nationals one month before he was killed in a horrible vehicle crash. While his dreams of being Mr. Olympia were cut short, I am thankful he was able to be a hero to so many. His discipline, clean living, and strength allowed his body to beat the odds and give life to others. I thank God for the beautiful years I had with you, Michael. May you stay strong and live long through the lives of the ones you’ve saved.
