My younger brother Matt was very healthy & 32 when he was killed by an avalanche while skiing in our home town of Juneau, Alaska. In life he felt that being a donor was important, so he choose to have it on his drivers license. The day he died, while we were still in shock, we decided as a family that it was a good thing to do. Matt ended up helping over a dozen people. His gift gave back to our family immeasurably for years. Life Alaska/LifeCenter NW went above and beyond to help us with this decision, flying his body back to us afterwards – we are forever grateful.
