Mary Catherine Brown Escobar, age 63, was a beloved loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister and child of
GOD. Born in Owensboro, Kentucky on May 6th 1961. Lived in Leander, Texas where she crossed over to be
with the Lord on December 3rd, 2024. Known by Cathy, Mom, Momma or Mammy. Cathy was a God-fearing
Christian woman who loved the Lord deeply and lived a life grounded in faith, compassion and kindness.
This also carried through in her crossing over as she was an organ donor who saved many lives with her
generosity. One of her favorite sayings was “Share everything but your underwear and sometimes that.”
Cathy found joy in the simple profound blessings of life. She loved walks on the beach, hunting for seashells,
arrowheads or any of God’s creations. Cathy was one of a kind with a heart big enough for everyone she
met. She never knew a stranger, and was always ready to strike up a conversation, prayer or to lend a helping hand.
My mother was full of life and defiantly lived her life to the fullest. She would not care what anyone thought of her, she was herself and showed others that it is ok to always be true to yourself and love yourself fully. She would sing, dance, talk to anyone, just live her life so freely and lovingly. She was eager and ready to walk along the side of our Lord. Everyday she would just have many conversations with God. I was truly blessed to have such an amazing, strong, loving, kind hearted and spiritually driven mother. She really taught my father, brothers and I, as well many neighborhood kids who became her children, all about God. Our door was always open to anyone and everyone. You did not have to be blood to be family. She was a mother to many. I am going to miss her dearly but I know that she is dancing, singing and rejoicing while watching over each and everyone of us. My forever guardian angel.
