Lily Mae was born as my chunky monkey who would eat every crumb. She was a determined little girl who would pick on her big sister just because they were the same size. The little things in life made Lily the happiest like jumping in rain puddles and seeing baby duckies. She was a little sister and a daughter but is now a guardian angel and organ donor superhero. Lily was able to give the gift of life to a young man who was constrained to dialysis and insulin injections with both her kidneys. Her heart valves are still awaiting their forever home which if matched with a child is very special as they can accommodate the child’s growth. Lily’s lungs are being researched and may provide benefits to thousands who are awaiting a transplant.
