My father, Kenneth A McBurney wanted to donate his brain to Parkinson’s Research as he had Parkinson’s. At the time of his passing, the process to make this happen became very complicated due to circumstances beyond our control, and the logistics did not work out. He also wanted to donate tissue, and thankfully, this was possible. He was able to donate for the training of search and rescue dogs.
