Karina loved life, she loved to travel,
Journal on her downtime , spend time with her family and friends. She was strong and inspirational, at a young age she was diagnosed with JRA, however she never let her disability define her. Throughout her young life she donated blood, bone, tissue and spinal fluid in hopes to help doctors discover treatment for Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis to help young children like herself at the time. When my family and I were told the devastating news that she was brain dead I knew in my heart what I had to do in Honor of her. Karie was able to do one final self less act and that was to give life to others. We miss her every day, our hearts will forever be incomplete, but knowing she has given 3 other people a second chance of life is comforting to us a family. Karina is a donor hero that will never be forgotten.
