Jonathan was 16 year old that lit up a room when he walked in. He was a “gentle giant” at 6’5” who was a continuous teammate, encourager and friend. He played hard on the basketball court, and helped, cared for others and volunteered in my classroom on his off tine. He focused on making a difference, bringing people together, always asking how he could help. The stories we continue to receive about him 4 years later fill our heart with love to help with the shattered pain. Before Jonathan was drafted to Heaven’s basketball team on March 4th, 2019 of an unknown heart condition known as Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy, he had shared he was going to be an organ donor . His selfless act gave 6 people the opportunity for their chairs to not sit empty at their tables. The grief we live daily, filled with such horrific pain of not living our days as parents with our son, we out so very proud of the decision he made. His legacy continues to spread through us, his sisters, community, school district , and friends.Being able to plant these flowers is such a special way to watch his love continue to grow.
