Keegan and Johnston were born one the same day, six hours apart almost to the minute. Keegan’s heart was broken beyond repair. Johnston’s family made the choice in their grief to save Keegan’s life, and on September 19, 2007, Keegan became the youngest and smallest heart transplant recipient in Texas and the smallest in the country at the time.
