On July 26, 2009 our son fell off a ladder at work. We were not aware he had signed his driver’s license to become an organ. He had renewed his license through the mail, and had a sticker on the back for the renewal. In Illinois that caused the donation decision he made to be invalid. At the most difficult time in our lives we chose to honor his wishes. He was a giving , kind , person and gave of himself even as he passed. He is our son, our HERO. 💙💚
