John was a selfless, old soul at the young age of 11. He lived his very short life to the fullest. He worked hard and played hard. He constantly thought of others and always tried to bring a smile to their faces. Not a day would go by where he did not demonstrate these characteristics. He was a son, brother, friend, scholar, athlete, musician and now, a hero. Not only is he a hero to his organ recipients, but he is a hero to those who knew him or knew of him. He believed that everything in life was bigger than him and lived life as such. He was guided by the phrase, ALWAYS BE BIG. He believed if he worked to be the bigger person in all situations, he could be confident he was doing right by others. Not only did he change the lives of his organ recipients, but he changed the lives of all those who succeed him in life. His legacy will continue to be remembered through organ donation and through his way of life. May we all strive to Be Big in the time we have left on this earth in honor of John and his life beautifully lived.
We will always tell your story John John. We love you Big Man!
