Jim was generous and loving in life — a committed husband, father, brother and friend — and it was important to keep that spirit alive after he was gone. He was creative and visionary, and also practical and pragmatic, so I know he'd be so proud to know that his organs have extended and improved the lives of other people. I like to think that knowing these vital parts of him were put to profound use after he was gone would bring him great satisfaction.
