I spend every day, thanking God and then Jeffrey for the gift I have received. As an organ recipient my life has changed completely. It’s something you don’t think about before it happens to you or someone close to you. Jeffrey was an 18-year-old young man headed off to college in the prime of his life. But his mother, Shannon, tells me he knew at 16 years old he wanted to be an organ donor. That’s a remarkable young man! I’m grateful to his mother for sharing information about him and photographs and letting me get to know as much as I can about Jeffrey. He is literally a part of me and I don’t take that for granted. I will honor him all the days of my life.
