My mother, Jacqueline, passed away in 2025 after a long and difficult battle with many health issues, including cancer and kidney disease that required dialysis. She was an incredible person who showed kindness, love, and compassion to everyone around her. Even on her hardest days, she would still find the strength to talk with others and share her love.

For many years before she became ill, she cared for children in our childhood home. Those children became like family to all of us, and to her. My mom always wanted to help others in any way she could. I remember her saying she wanted to be an organ donor, even though she believed there might not be much she could give because of her illness.

When she passed, she was able to give the gift of sight. It brings me comfort knowing that even after her passing, she was still able to help someone in such a meaningful way, giving another person the chance to see this beautiful world and the people in it.

She will forever be our angel, and I hope her gift brings immense joy to the person who received it.
