My husband Joey, was in need of a kidney transplant. Our team, once placed on the transplant list, spent some time telling us the advantages to finding a living donor. That was hard for us. How do you ask someone to donate an organ to you?! So we did a lot of things to make the ask indirectly: a social media page specifically for my husband and our search for a kidney, car magnets and window clings, and then finally raising money for a billboard.

She went from an acquaintance to family rather quickly! March 14, 2022 was our transplant date and both she and Joey are doing fantastic!
