When Grace got her permit at 26 she asked whether she should check yes to organ donation. I told her I had and why. She checked yes for her permit and later her license. Grace went swimming in an apartment swimming pool and drowned. Making something positive come out of the horror of losing my 19 year old daughter is why I signed the paperwork for her to be an organ donor, along with knowing it was what she wanted. I am grateful Grace was able to help others have a reason to celebrate.
