My mother received a kidney in 2006, and it was the happiest day of both of our lives. It was her dream to someday return that same happiness and hope to someone else. They found covid in her organs the day they were going to fulfill her dreams as well as someone else’s. She was a great woman with so much life left in her and because someone inspired her to donate an organ/s my mother was given 12 more years of life and was able to meet and see all of her grandkids. Although her wishes were not fulfilled she and I would have been so happy to have given someone else that same opportunity.
