George Meyers Sr. made his wishes known before his death in 2018 that he would like to donate anything he could of himself after he died. He unexpectedly passed not long after making his wishes known, and his family was able to make sure his request was honored. George donated one cornea and tissues that were received by at least 11 recipients known of so far, most being post-mastectomy cancer patients during reconstructive surgery. His family is so proud of the gifts he gave, and they love and miss him so terribly bad every day. We will never stop honoring the life of our hero!
