I knew the first time I saw Dougie he was special. Every night before he went to sleep I would tell him how brave he was. I would say you are so handsome and smart, you are kind and funny and the last things I would say was you are so special Dougie. One day you are going to change the world and make it a better place. I remember telling the doctors that this couldn’t be, Dougie had to change the world and thanks to the Donor Network he did change the world. He made it a better place.
