A quiet but industrious woman, Cindy was always busy. She was a longtime member of the Brentwood United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday School and sang in the choir for many years. She also volunteered as a teacher’s aide at Richmond Elementary for several years and helped run the Ohio Reads Program. At home, she enjoyed gardening and being outdoors, canning extensively each year and “living the simple life in the country,” as she put it. She was a devoted wife and mother and dedicated much of her time to caring for her daughter. She was not one to sit still, but despite how hard she worked, she never lost her childlike, creative spirit or her cheerful optimism. She played the mountain dulcimer and was an encourager to those who knew her, always able to make people smile and always demonstrating the love of Jesus with her servant’s heart. Organ donation was her final gift of service here on earth.
