In honor of my brother, Cody, who was my hero as my big brother in his life and is a hero in his death. Thankfully he and I had a conversation about what he wanted if something ever happened. He always told me that you shouldn’t take with you what could help someone else. When he died suddenly in a car accident in 2009, we knew what he would have wanted. Cody’s tissue donation saved the sight of two people and more than 100 bone grafts were used for transplant. We find peace in our darkest grief from God and from knowing that he lives on in his recipients. Cody is a son, brother, husband, Daddy and friend. He is missed immensely and forever remembered as a true hero.
