My sister, Cathy, collapsed at home from unknown causes. EMT’s we’re able to revive her heart but due to the length of time she went without oxygen, she never regained consciousness. After four days and many, many repeated tests, doctors confirmed there was no brain activity and she was declared brain dead. She was a nurse and had made the decision to be an organ donor.
She was always so caring, giving, and thoughtful in life and continued that with her gifts of donation to countless others upon her death.
She will forever be our family’s Donor Hero Angel.
