My son, 21 year old Casey Michalek, died unexpectedly from traumatic brain injuries sustained in a car accident in 2016.
He was able to save three lives by donating his organs after being on life support for three days as his loved ones said our final goodbyes to him.
Organ donation was a cause that he felt very strongly about and all of his family and friends are super happy that he died in a way that he was able to honor a cause that he was an advocate for. We are all very proud of Casey, though we miss him every day, he is our hero living on in others.
