Ashley was killed in a boating accident on June 24, 2010. At age 15, Ashley registered to be an organ donor. Her grandfather, William, had received a liver transplant in 2000 and our family was very grateful for that gift. Little did we know, just a few months after Ashley registered to be a donor, she would give four others the gift of life. Ashley lives on through the lives she saved. Ashley is my hero.
