My brother , Mike, was a Donor in March of 2024. He was a fun-loving, sensitive, and intelligent man. He had no past medical history so his sudden MI at only 54 was a shock to all of us. He was the most generous person I know and, although he didn’t always have extra to give, when he did, he gave it to all freely and without hesitation. He didn’t have children of his own but all the kids in our large family called him the Funcle (fun uncle!) He always had time for people, especially the kids. His becoming a Donor has most assuredly helped my parents (in their 80s) process this profound loss. We all knew Mike wanted to be a Donor- he was registered- and we know this last selfless act goes right along with the kind of person he was. He is missed by many, many people.
