Isabella played volleyball and was a 2nd degree black belt. She was a senior in high school and an honor roll student. She was working towards graduation and the start of her next chapter. Isabella was accepted to approximately 15 colleges and universities and at the time of her passing each institution was offering her some form of a scholarship. Isabella had a second job on Saturday mornings in which she would teach preschool children how to swim.
Isabella’s spare time was spent with her boyfriend and their friends and when in season at his baseball games and at Phillies games. Isabella was a huge Bryce Harper fan and one day I hope to have her Phillies hat autographed by him to honor her memory and keep her love for the game alive!
There are so many words I could use to describe Isabella, but here are a few. Isabella was witty, loyal, kind, and compassionate. We had not discussed Organ Donation. Although, that had not been a discussion, when we were faced with the unimaginable, we knew it was the right decision. Isabella always went out of her way to help people in life. Organ Donation was in keeping with her spirit.
Isabella’s story didn’t end that day. Through the lives she saved, the Gift of Life will always be a part of our story allowing us to continue tellinghers. We will continue to give back in her honor, keeping her spirit and legacy alive.
