Bentley was a 15 year old boy a month away from his 16th birthday when his accident happened. He was pitching and got hit in the face by a line drive baseball to the face, causing several fractures to his face. Two days later Bentleys brain had swelled so much with little to no signs, causing unreversed brain damage. His dad and I without hesitation knew Bentley being the sweet caring kid would want to his last mission on earth to be donating his organs to save someone else. Our son saved 6 people with five organs all over the United States. Bentley not only lives on in our hearts but through others now. Even though this has been and always will be the hardest decision we have ever made we know we did the right thing by donating his organs. He is a true Hero.
