Richard A. Fry was a Navy veteran serving during the Vietnam War. He was a member of Greensburg Volunteer Fire Department Hose Co. No. 7, where he joined in Dec. 1972 a member of Westmoreland County Firemen’s Association, Pennsylvania State Firemen’s Association, Westmoreland County Fire Chief’s Association, Pennsylvania State Firemen’s Association’s Over the Hill Gang, former member of Latrobe Fire Department, and former member of St. Vincent Volunteer Fire Department. He was a life member of VFW Post No. 33, Greensburg, where he was a past commander, past senior vice commander, and past all-state commander. He was also president and served on the VFW honor guard. Rich dedicated his life to serving others. He concerns to serve others through organ donation.
He is survived by his wife, Patty Fry, children Sheila Brumley (Coleman), Melissa Demorest (Chris), Richard Fry (Val), grandchildren Jake Brumley (Caroline), Ally Brumley, and Sophia Demorest. Along with 4 great grandchildren, Ben, Joey, Lettie, and Mike Brumley.
